The company was formed back in 1977 and was initially involved with the servicing, repair and supply of parts for heavy diesel, dual fuel engines and marine industry requirements worldwide. From a strong service based operation and enviable reputation for good quality customer service, in 1995 Clarke Energy was appointed the exclusive UK distributor for GE Jenbacher - the worlds leading manufacturer of gas engines and co-generation units, ranging from 330kWe to 3,000kWe suitable for operating with Natural gas, and a wide range of Biogases.

With the GE Jenbacher product range the business has since developed to encompass many varied gas generation and co-generation applications ranging from landfill gas containerised module installations for waste-to-energy schemes, to turnkey 10MW power station projects for major UK utility companies. This also led to the setting up of a dedicated GE Jenbacher product service support facility with remote monitoring facility, spares stock holding and full engine rebuild and refurbishment capability.

In 2000 Clarke Energy, with an ever expanding business, moved into new purpose built Headquarters in Knowsley, Merseyside, covering 24,000 sq ft. Worldwide operations are managed from this location linking with other offices in Australia, France, India, New Zealand and Nigeria.

The main reason why Clarke Energy has become the predominate company in gas generation systems is the combination of excellent GE Jenbacher products combined with the ability to provide a first class product support.

Clarke Energy is also the exclusive UK and Australian distributors of the Haase Energietechnik range of gas engineering systems, including flare stacks and gas booster units. Purpose built Haase high temperature flare stacks are fully enclosed and are virtually maintenance free.

To further compliment the product range, Clarke Energy is the sole UK and Australian distributor for Swiss based HUG Engineering, the world's leading manufacturer of exhaust gas emission control systems. HUG Engineering exhaust gas purification systems are able to reduce harmful gases by 95%.
